Checking Nokia N8 update has become a daily morning ritual for me , while having my breakfast , I check the Firmware update via *#0000# and for software update in the application menu .
Why I do that ?
Well all other Nokia phones including Nokia C7 has received updates and as PR 1.1 was expected in Jan 2011 , I’m hopeful everyday .
Today my effort paid off , when I ran the software update check , I got a minor 1086KB App update , named Apps Update 1.0 , for the Nokia N8 . No explanation was given what the update was about except stability of some Apps . The update downloaded in seconds but took almost 5 minutes to install and no phone restart is required.
We recommend you get the update to make Nokia N8 more stable , hopefully soon we can anticipate the PR 1.1 release for this phone .
