Lahore Music Meet 2018 Proudly Announced Fourth Edition Schedule

Pakistan’s Leading Comprehensive Music Symposium: The Lahore Music Meet #LMM18 proudly announce the dates for their fourth edition scheduled to take place at Alhamra Art Center in Lahore on the 6th and 7th of January 2018. The two-day event is dedicated to the celebration and critique of music in Pakistan and will be headlined by some of Pakistan’s leading folk, pop, rock and indie acts.

Since its inception, Lahore Music Meet had brought together enthusiasts, artisans, artists, patrons, industry representatives and academics to initiate dialogue on the developments and shortcomings in music in Pakistan. LMM boasts an alumni list of more than a hundred artists from all walks of the Pakistani music scene, which includes legends such as Attaullah Esa Khelvi, pop/rock artists such as Ali Noor, Ali Hamza, Jimmy Khan, Javed Bashir, Ali Sethi, Sajjad Ali, Sara Haider, Omran Shafique, Gumby, Ali Azmat, Momina Mustehsan, Arshad Mahmud, Haniya Aslam, Abid Brohi, Zohaib Kazi, film actor and musician Ali Zafar and Meesha Shafi, Sufi rock artist Arieb Azhar, classical maestros Hamid Ali Khan, Tina Sani, Jazz fusion act Mekaal Hassan, Indie musicians, Ali Suhail, Takatak, Slowspin, Poor Rich Boy and Red Blood Cat, TV personalities Adnan Malik, Ali Gul Pir and filmmakers Saqib Malik and Jami amongst others. The event will be open to the general public and as in the previous three editions there will be no cost of admission.

The Lahore Music Meet team consists of festival directors Natasha Noorani and Zahra Paracha with Sana Nasir as lead designer and Munizeh Sanai as the programming manager. Lahore Music Meet in its fourth year now is a well-established one of its kind platform for all activities pertaining to music performance, enterprise, education and academia with the ultimate goal of encouraging talents and fostering relationships between individuals within the music fraternity. By providing such a platform once every year, LMM hopes to revitalize the reputation and perception of music within the country and abroad.
