KARACHI: Renowned TV host and former MNA Amir Liaquat Hussain passed away in Karachi. He was found unconscious in his home at Khudad Colony. He was immediately shifted to a local hospital but he was declared dead.
According to Javed, his employee, a scream was heard from the PTI leader’s room. Last night, Amir Liaquat was in discomfort, however, he refused to go to the hospital. In the morning when the staff did not receive a response, they broke down the door of the room. The doctors told that the patient has already passed away when he was brought to the hospital.
According to East SSP, there was nothing suspicious found in Amir Liaquat’s bedroom. But the police cordoned off his bedroom, once the evidence were collected. The report for the cause of death will be revealed after the autopsy, for which the family’s permission is taken.
The statement of Javed, the driver of Amir Liaquat will be taken. He was the one who reported to the police first. The funeral prayers of Amir Liaquat will be later announced.
