Mark Zuckerberg has high hopes for MetaPay, calling it the future
Meta plans to introduce MetaPay as a virtual payment system We are now already familiar with the fact that Facebook’s CEO and founder Mark Zuckerberg announced bringing Meta.
In that regard, Mark Zuckerberg made an announcement on Wednesday regarding rebranding. He termed it the first step towards Meta.
There is a lot of buzz regarding how MetaPay, will turn out to be. As a payment system specified for metaverse, it aims to include a digital wallet. However, Mark Zuckerberg denied that the payment method would show drastic changes but only gradual ones. Just like Facebook, people can send money to their loved ones on WhatsApp, Facebook, and Instagram.
In case the customers plan to invest in the universe of Meta, then they will have to buy MPay tokens first. All the purchases or charity-based activities will be carried out in Meta through the MPay token.
Mark Zuckerberg envisions that in the future, all digital items will either be created or purchased through Meta Pay.
To ensure the transfer of payment is a fast, flexible, and secure environment, the virtual payment system is to be introduced by Meta. Through it, many peer-to-peer transactions would be made possible. With the help of dynamic virtual payment cards, fiat and crypto-based purchases would be made possible.
Mark Zuckerberg added, “Proof of ownership will be important, especially if you want to take some of these items with you across different services. Ideally, you should be able to sign into any metaverse experience and everything you’ve bought should be right there.”
To cut the long story short, Mark Zuckerberg aims to introduce Meta Pay as a default metaverse wallet.
