Doctors have declared Indian actor-comedian Raju Srivastava brain dead after he was hospitalized earlier this month following a heart attack.
For those who are unaware, the ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’ actor had a heart attack on August 10 and has been under monitoring since. Srivastava fainted while running on a treadmill, and his trainer took him to the hospital. He later underwent angioplasty surgery.
However, according to recent reports from Indian news sites, the performance has not improved significantly. The portal also said that his brain had stopped working, citing a source who knew what was going on.
A close friend and colleague, Ahsaan Qureshi, reported to the press that physicians have “given up.” “They’ve told the family that they could do anything to save him, and now only a miracle can save him,” he said.
He went on to say, “The news regarding his death is false; physicians have indicated that his brain is dead.” His situation is severe. The actor is currently being treated at the AIIMS (All India Institute of Medical Science) in Delhi, and his family has asked fans to pray for a miracle.
The actor, Raju Srivastava, is a seasoned comedian in the country. He is well-known for his appearances on shows such as “The Great Indian Laughter Challenge,” “Comedy Cirkus,” and “The Kapil Sharma Show,” among others.
