Pakistan’s young taekwondo player, Ayesha Ayaz, has won gold and silver medals in Thailand’s ongoing Taekwondo International Championship. Ayesha, 11, became the first Pakistani female athlete to win two golds, a silver, and a bronze medal in international Taekwondo events.
At the ceremony, Lt Col Waseem Ahmed Janjua, president of the Pakistan Taekwondo Federation (PTF), and secretary Murtaza Hassan Bangash congratulated the young athlete on her spectacular triumph, stating that Ayesha is an asset to the country and will make the country proud in the future.
Ayesha Ayaz is the skilled player and coach of Ayaz Naik of Pakistan, who also acted as her coach in the event. He thanked everyone who had helped the young athlete, especially the PTF, without which Ayesha would not have been able to train.
“We can bring a greater reputation to the country in the realm of sports on an international level if we assist top-performing children like Ayesha at this age,” he remarked.
