In a social media message, the Taana Baana singer said he was honoured to be a part of a positive project established by Ottawa. “It was an honour to be invited by the Canadian Parliament to hear Prime Minister Justin Trudeau speak on Pakistan’s welfare and the ongoing floods and how we can help,” he wrote.
The musician also prayed for the country, which has been overwhelmed by record rainfall, with around 1,200 people killed and early estimates putting the damage at $10 billion.” Earlier this week, Prime Minister Trudeau announced that the United Nations Central Emergency Response Fund and Red Cross Canada will give immediate assistance to Islamabad in the form of food, clean water, and other necessary services.
