Apple’s new iPhone lineup may have captured the public’s attention, but our weekend deals post focuses on everything Apple overlooked at its “Far Out” event this week. Apple’s 64GB iPad Mini with Wi-Fi is currently available for $399.99 (a $100 discount) at Amazon and Best Buy, matching its all-time low price. If you need more storage, Amazon and Best Buy have discounted the 256GB model with Wi-Fi to $549.99, down from its usual price of $799.99.
The 2021 iPad Mini introduces several advancements to Apple’s smallest tablet, including a larger screen without a home button and a USB-C port in place of Apple’s Lightning connector. In addition, the Mini has an 8.3-inch display with a resolution of 2266 x 1488 and supports for Apple’s True Tone technology, which allows you to adjust the display based on ambient lighting. All of this is powered by Apple’s A15 Bionic CPU, making the most recent Mini the one to beat until an M1 or M2 model is released. Read our review.

If you prefer a laptop to a tablet, you can also find discounts on Apple’s 13-inch, M2-equipped, 8GB RAM MacBook Pro with 13-inch display. Normally $1,299, the 256GB storage configuration is currently on sale for $1,149 at Best Buy and Amazon. Best Buy and Amazon are also discounting the 512GB configuration to $1,299 (a $150 savings), making the current sale prices the lowest we’ve seen for either configuration.
