If there were any doubts about Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan’s skills or questions about their ability to bat at a healthy strike rate, they were all put to rest by their flawless performance in the second T20I against England, where they chased down 200 runs with ease.
After 10 overs, the two experienced batters switched gears brilliantly and played some beautiful strokes.
The packed crowd got their money’s worth as they watched Pakistan’s best batsmen make the chase look easy. It was the highest chase without losing a wicket in men’s T20 cricket.
England looked confused when Moeen Ali came on in the 13th over and was slog-swept for some big sixes. After that, the tourists started to lose control of the game.

David Willey couldn’t hide, and he also lost a lot of blood. Both Azam and Rizwan hit 16 fours and 9 sixes.
Azam got 110 runs without getting out, which was his second T20I hundred, and Rizwan got 88 runs without getting out. Together, they chased down 200 runs in 19.3 overs at a packed National Stadium.
The partnership between Azam and Rizwan has become the most productive in T20Is. They have scored 1,929 runs together, which is more than the 1,743 runs that Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma scored in 51 games.
Azam and Rizwan broke the record after only 36 games. The win made the score 1-1 in the seven-game series. England won the first game by six wickets on Tuesday, also in Karachi.
