The most popular worldwide entertainment platform, TikTok, launched its Safety Ambassadors Program in Pakistan by hosting its first-ever digital safety event. TikTok, which boasts more than 1 billion active users monthly worldwide, is committed to empowering its users through creative and varied content as well as safeguarding their security and protection.
A move in this approach is Pakistan’s #SaferTogether campaign. The programme included a panel discussion with some of Pakistan’s most well-known content producers, who offered their knowledge on online fraud, harassment, and cyberbullying. Also, the panellists promoted safe content production and appropriate internet usage.
The Safety Centre offers up-to-date information on all the measures TikTok takes to improve safety and security on the platform, and the campaign’s goal is to raise awareness of the numerous in-app safety features that are available on the platform. A comprehensive Privacy Guide, a New User Safety Guide, a Guide for Parents, resources for assuring safety, and other advice are also available to users through the Safety Centre.
Inappropriate behaviour and content are moderated under TikTok’s Community Rules, which have zero tolerance for any kind of harmful content. As the platform continues to address industry-wide problems with online and offline user safety, the Safety Ambassadors Program strengthens TikTok’s dedication to digital safety.
TikTok is committed to fostering a secure and welcoming environment for its vibrant and diverse communities, as evidenced by its proactive efforts to educate users about safety, false information, and the influence of legitimate content.
