Syngenta Pakistan Limited was presented with the “Employer of Choice” Gender Diversity Award for 2023. The award was presented to Syngenta Pakistan Limited at a prestigious ceremony by the Pakistan Business Council (PBC) and the International Finance Corporation. Syngenta Pakistan Limited is a pioneer in agricultural innovation and technology and is well-known for its seeds, biologicals, crop protection, and digital services for Pakistani farmers (IFC).
Syngenta Pakistan has proven a strong commitment to diversity and inclusion by developing gender diversity programs (D&I). Mr. Zeeshan Hasib Baig, Country GM of Syngenta Pakistan, emphasized the value of gender diversity for both business success and societal well-being. He stressed how important it was from both a moral and business standpoint, made a commitment to change in favor of more women in leadership roles, and thanked his staff for the outcome.
The “Employer of Choice” Gender Diversity Award, presented by PBC and IFC, is based on the Gender Diversity and Disclosure scorecard. This encourages corporate leaders in Pakistan to exchange best practices for gender diversity. The five Gender Equality Principles (GEPs), which examine workplace culture, leadership, pay disparities, gender diversity in the workforce, and coaching and mentoring for female employees, were used to evaluate companies. Ten organizations, including Syngenta, were given the honor in 2023.
