WhatsApp is preparing for a substantial revamp that will give the well-known messaging software new vitality. Over the past few months, the changes have been gradually taking shape, but the most significant ones are about to make their debut. We now have a preview of what is coming, courtesy of the thorough investigation of the WABetaInfo team.
The beta versions of WhatsApp for Android (2.23.18.18) and iOS (23.17.1.77) both show this alteration at the moment. Be prepared for a refreshed user interface with new buttons, a brighter color scheme, and a clever conversation-filtering tool.
The updated color palette is one of the most obvious modifications, notably in the top bar and the navigation tabs. It’s interesting to note that the navigation tabs are currently moving toward the bottom of the display. While it’s unclear if tab swiping will still be possible, we can anticipate WhatsApp to make enhancements without compromising functionality.
Details about the renowned dark mode are still lacking. The dark mode will, however, likely be seamlessly incorporated with the rest of the chat screen, integrating its top and bottom portions into the general dark color scheme. The redesign of the design also adds a more rounded and contemporary appearance, which can be seen in the subtly curved shapes of numerous elements.
Users of WhatsApp will soon benefit from a useful filtering function for their conversation screen in addition to the cosmetic overhaul. This feature makes it simple to group chats into different categories, such as unread messages, private talks, and corporate chats. It’s exciting to note that this improvement will help users of iOS and Android.
A special button for self-chats on the bottom navigation bar will be a welcome addition for iOS users in particular. Unfortunately, the Android version does not yet have this capability.
It won’t be long before these improvements appear in the stable version of WhatsApp given that the redesigned design is already being sent to everyone in the WhatsApp beta community. So keep an eye out for what looks to be a new, user-friendly WhatsApp experience coming soon.
