Jazz, Pakistan’s top digital service provider, has reacted quickly to what it describes as Sui Northern Gas Pipeline Limited’s (SNGPL) unfounded accusations of gas theft. A defamation notice from Jazz was served against SNGPL, asking for Rs 10 billion in damages.
Jazz has filed a lawsuit to defend its name and vigorously refutes SNGPL’s recent allegations of gas theft at a facility in Karak, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
In support of its claim that none of its network sites in Pakistan use natural gas, the telecom operator cites a picture of a diesel generator that SNGPL posted on its X (previously Twitter) account.
Jazz believes that SNGPL’s claim that gas was stolen from one of its locations is unfounded and unjustified. Such accusations against Jazz, an important part of Pakistan’s economy, are without merit. Furthermore, unfounded charges like these have the potential to undermine investor confidence and endanger the stability of the country’s economy.

Jazz is dedicated to operating its gasoline and power business in an entirely legal manner. Jazz has formed contractual agreements with third-party providers to solely supply diesel fuel for generators at various locations as part of its backup power strategy.
