PTA's Raids on Illegal Internet Services Providers

Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) successfully conducted two raids in Gojra City, in collaboration with the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), to combat the proliferation of illegal internet services. These operations took place at Adeeb Plaza Main Bansan Wala Bazar and Mehdi Shah Bazar, resulting in the arrest of one individual and the confiscation of equipment used by illegal internet service providers.

These achievements were made possible through PTA’s unwavering commitment to continuously monitor and combat the menace of illegal internet services. By doing so, PTA aims to reduce losses to the national exchequer, which stem from tax evasion and revenue misreporting.

To avoid sudden disruptions in their services, the public is strongly advised to choose telecom services exclusively from PTA-licensed operators. List of licensed operators is available at: https://pta.gov.pk/en/industry-support/home/list-of-operators
