Shoaib Malik, a former cricketer for Pakistan, has expressed his opinion on Babar Azam’s leadership, urging Azam to think about resigning. Malik’s opinion is based on his own evaluation of Azam’s leadership abilities.
Malik suggested that removing Azam from the post could allow him to reach his full potential as a player, which would ultimately help Pakistan’s cricket team. Malik voiced reservations about Azam’s capacity to bring innovation and strategic thought to his captaincy.
“I’ve previously stated that I believe Babar Azam should give up the captaincy. This is only my viewpoint. As a captain, Babar is lacking in originality. Despite guiding the squad, it appears that progress is being made slowly. He may be an outstanding player for Pakistan,” he said.
In addition, the 41-year-old suggested Shaheen Afridi as a viable contender to replace Babar Azam as captain of the white-ball cricket team.
