On February 21, 2024, Chairman PTA Maj Gen (R) Hafeez Ur Rehman met with Mr. Huo Junli, CEO of Zong, to talk about the future of Pakistan’s telecom sector. The main issues and prospects facing the industry, including as network infrastructure, 4G coverage, data leadership, and Internet of Things (IoT) solutions, were discussed during the meeting, which was hosted at the PTA Headquarters in Islamabad.
The main topics of discussion were plans to upgrade network infrastructure and increase 4G coverage in Pakistan. Both sides emphasized the critical need for nationwide access to reliable connectivity.
The discussion emphasized Zong’s resolve to continue leading the data services market while investigating cutting-edge ideas like IoT to improve the sector even more.
