Free WiFi is back in town! The Punjab government has relaunched its free WiFi initiative, offering internet access at 50 locations across the city.
This project, initially introduced under former CM Shehbaz Sharif, was put on hold in 2021. However, with the recent change in leadership, CM Maryam Nawaz has revived the program, aiming to improve connectivity for residents and visitors.
Currently, hotspots are available in various public spaces, educational institutions, and hospitals. Some prominent locations include Hussain Chowk, Mozang Adda, and MM Alam Road. The plan is to expand coverage to additional areas soon.
This initiative promises to bridge the digital divide in Lahore by providing convenient internet access. Residents and visitors can now enjoy better connectivity, fostering communication and information sharing across the city.
