Hello Tempayy Wins USSEC Pitch2Fork Protein Startup Award

Startups from Bangladesh, India, and Pakistan are leading the way in protein innovation, thanks to USSEC’s Pitch2Fork program. This platform provides a unique opportunity for entrepreneurs to showcase their groundbreaking solutions to investors, aiming to tackle food and nutrition security challenges in South Asia.

Shortlisted companies included Gladful, Hello Tempayy, Poulta, and WeGro, all tackling different aspects of the protein gap. Hello Tempayy, an Indian startup creating user-friendly tempeh products, was awarded the “Protein Startup of the Year” title.

“Pitch2Fork accelerates innovation by connecting startups with investors,” said Kevin Roepke, USSEC’s Regional Director for South Asia. “By embracing disruption and investing in the future, we can create a more protein-secure tomorrow.”

Pitch2Fork attendees were also inspired by the success of Agroshift, a Bangladeshi agritech startup that won the 2022 edition. Their omnichannel platform empowers farmers and improves market access for both producers and consumers.

USSEC is committed to supporting protein innovation and sustainability. They offer various resources like the Soy Value Oil Calculator and the International Aquaculture Feed Formulation Database to help businesses thrive.
