Coca-Cola has appointed Volkan Öngüç as the new Vice President for the Pakistan and Afghanistan region within the Eurasia & Middle East Operation Unit. With over two decades of experience in commercial management, business development, and sales, Volkan brings extensive expertise in revenue growth management, both in Turkey and internationally. He joined Coca-Cola in April 2021 and has since been a valuable asset to the company.
Volkan Öngüç expressed his vision for Coca-Cola Pakistan, highlighting the country’s immense potential. He noted the company’s significant investment of over $1 billion in Pakistan and emphasized the cultural similarities between Pakistan and his home country, Turkey. Volkan praised the success of Coke Studio Season 15, which showcases the rich diversity of Pakistani music and culture. He emphasized that Coca-Cola Pakistan operates with a strong local focus, from Turkey-owned Coca-Cola Içecek’s operations to hiring locally and sourcing local raw materials.
Volkan also mentioned the company’s community investments, particularly in water replenishment and providing clean drinking water to millions across the country. He expressed gratitude for the warm welcome he received in Pakistan and considers himself an honorary Pakistani.
