Zindigi Prize Empowers Kenyan Startups

Zindigi Prize, Pakistan’s leading entrepreneurial community, has taken its first step onto the global stage with its inaugural regionals in Kenya. The event, held at St. Paul’s University, Limuru Campus, saw the participation of over 50 startups from various Kenyan universities.

The event was graced by esteemed guests, including Dr. Abraham, Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Academics at St. Paul’s University, and Mr. Lenox Omondi, CEO and Founder of Ecobana. Their presence, along with a panel of expert judges, provided invaluable guidance and inspiration to the young innovators.

The competition showcased a wealth of talent and innovation. Mount Kenya University emerged as the winner with NanaHeal Enterprise, an impressive startup demonstrating exceptional entrepreneurial vision. Africa Nazarene University and Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology secured the first and second runner-up positions, respectively.

Dr. Abraham expressed pride in hosting the event, highlighting its role in bridging the gap between academia and industry. Mr. Lenox Omondi emphasized the importance of such platforms in empowering young entrepreneurs and fostering economic growth.

Adeel Hijazi, Chief Marketing Officer at Zindigi, shared the vision for Zindigi Prize as a global innovation network, connecting and empowering startups worldwide.
