At least 11 brave soldiers of Pakistan embraced martyrdom, and 78 others were wounded in the line of duty while defending the nation against India’s “unprovoked and reprehensible dastardly attacks,” the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) confirmed. The military’s official media wing reported the heavy toll in an official statement, strongly condemning the hostile aggression by Indian forces.
Tragically, Indian shelling and bombardment also claimed the lives of 40 innocent Pakistani civilians, including seven women and 15 children, while 121 others were reported injured. The targeting of non-combatants marks yet another violation of international norms and a blatant act of aggression that has drawn widespread condemnation.
Among the Pakistan Army personnel who laid down their lives were Naik Abdul Rehman, Lance Naik Dilawar Khan, Lance Naik Ikramullah, Naik Waqar Khalid, Sepoy Muhammad Adeel Akbar, and Sepoy Nisar. These brave men stood firm in the face of hostility, defending Pakistan’s sovereignty with unmatched courage and commitment.
The Pakistan Air Force (PAF) also suffered painful losses. The martyred include Squadron Leader Usman Yousuf, Chief Technician Aurangzeb, Senior Technician Najeeb, Corporal Technician Farooq, and Senior Technician Mubashir — each of whom served with distinction and valor.
The nation stands united in grief and resolve as tensions escalate once again along the border. With these fresh hostilities, Pakistan’s leadership and armed forces remain committed to safeguarding the country’s integrity, calling for international attention to India’s escalating provocations.
