Chairman of the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), Major General (R) Hafeez Ur Rehman, HI (M), SI, represented Pakistan at the Global Symposium for Regulators (GSR-25), held in Riyadh from August 31 to September 3, 2025. The event, organized by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), gathered regulatory leaders from across the globe under the theme “Regulation for Sustainable Digital Development.”
During the high-level symposium, Chairman PTA held a significant meeting with Dr. Cosmas Luckyson Zavazava, Director of ITU’s Telecommunication Development Bureau. The discussions centered around enhancing PTA-ITU collaboration, sharing regulatory best practices, and exploring joint initiatives to accelerate digital transformation both within Pakistan and across the global regulatory landscape.
