The UAE Ministry of Education has announced that all public schools across the country will now dedicate time each day for students to perform the Dhuhr (noon) prayer in congregation.
Sharing the update on X (formerly Twitter), the ministry described schools as “homes of values as much as they are of knowledge,” emphasizing the importance of nurturing students’ spiritual development alongside academic learning.
A video released with the announcement shows students giving the call to prayer, preparing the prayer space, and offering the Dhuhr prayer together in designated halls. Many students expressed happiness and pride in participating, calling it a meaningful addition to their school day.
