Pakistan’s telecom and energy sectors just witnessed a historic double milestone. Infralectric, a Brillanz Group company, has launched the country’s first Green Sukuk for the telecom sector while successfully completing a 25MWh AI-powered Energy Storage-as-a-Service (ESaaS) project powered by Thunder AI. Valued at up to PKR 3 billion, this Shariah-compliant, 100% principal-guaranteed Sukuk introduces a scalable way to modernize telecom towers with low-carbon, AI-enabled technology.
The 25MWh AI-powered ESaaS project is already transforming telecom tower energy infrastructure across Pakistan. By deploying Thunder AI-driven battery storage, Infralectric is cutting more than 5 million liters of diesel use annually, improving uptime, and reducing carbon emissions by 13,500 tons each year—the equivalent of planting over 220,000 trees.
Speaking at the high-profile launch event, Brillanz Group CEO Bilal Qureshi called it “a historic moment for Pakistan’s digital and energy future,” highlighting how innovation and sustainability can drive growth together. Government leaders, telecom executives, and finance experts, including Minister of State Fahd Haroon and InfraZamin CEO Maheen Rahman, emphasized the importance of green finance and AI-powered infrastructure in achieving Pakistan’s climate and digital goals.
The Green Sukuk, developed with InfraZamin Pakistan, is designed to unlock sustainable private capital at scale while modernizing critical telecom infrastructure. With major players like Dubai Islamic Bank, Telenor Pakistan, and Engro Enfrashare joining the conversation, the initiative signals a new era where finance, technology, and environmental responsibility converge to shape Pakistan’s digital future.
