Aik, Pakistan’s first Islamic digital banking platform powered by BankIslami, has entered into a strategic partnership with Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) to strengthen its infrastructure with secure and reliable cloud-based services. Under this collaboration, PTCL Smart Cloud will provide scalable and resilient infrastructure to ensure seamless business continuity, enabling Aik to enhance its digital capabilities and deliver a smooth banking experience to customers.

The agreement was signed at Aik’s headquarters in Islamabad, with senior leadership from both organizations, including Ashfaque Ahmed, Chief Officer of Aik, Waqar Ul Hassan, CIO Aik Digital, and Asif Ahmad, Group Chief Business Solutions Officer, PTCL & Ufone 4G.

Speaking at the signing, Ashfaque Ahmed said that Aik is committed to expanding access to Islamic banking and advancing its mission of “Saving Humanity from Riba.” He emphasized that robust and scalable systems are crucial to meeting the rising demand for Shariah-compliant digital banking, and the partnership with PTCL will play a key role in achieving this vision.

Asif Ahmad of PTCL & Ufone 4G added that PTCL, as a national leader in digitalization, is proud to support Aik with innovative and secure cloud solutions that will not only meet business needs but also contribute to Pakistan’s overall economic growth.

This partnership represents a significant step forward in building a more secure, accessible, and efficient Islamic digital banking ecosystem in Pakistan by leveraging PTCL’s expertise in telecom and cloud services with Aik’s digital-first banking approach.
