Spotify has taken personalization to the next level by officially integrating with ChatGPT, enabling users to discover and enjoy music directly through conversation. The new feature, live across 145 countries including Pakistan, allows both Free and Premium Spotify users to connect their accounts and receive AI-powered music recommendations right inside ChatGPT.

The integration works on web and mobile (iOS and Android) for ChatGPT Free, Plus, and Pro accounts. Users can now ask for playlists based on mood, genre, or artist, get tailored song suggestions, and instantly open them in the Spotify app — turning simple prompts into personalized listening experiences.

Already available on over 2,000 devices globally, from cars and TVs to smart speakers, Spotify has long aimed to be wherever users listen. With this new ChatGPT partnership, Spotify is bringing music discovery into everyday conversation, helping fans uncover new tracks or rediscover old favorites — one chat at a time.

“Spotify’s vision has always been to be everywhere you are,” said Sten Garmark, SVP, Global Head of Consumer Experience at Spotify. “By bringing Spotify into ChatGPT, we’re creating a powerful new way for fans to connect with artists and creators conversationally, whenever inspiration strikes.”

Importantly, Spotify confirmed that no music, podcast, or video content from its platform will be shared with OpenAI for training purposes, ensuring creators’ work remains protected.
