Afghanistan’s bowling coach, Umar Gul, says he has come up with a smart way to stop Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam from scoring a lot of runs against his team. At a press conference before the game, Gul said that Rizwan and Babar are without a doubt two of the best batters in the world. He said that he hoped Afghanistan would carry out the plan perfectly so that the two could leave as soon as possible.
Gul also said that the Afghanistan team had done very well in the tournament. He told the Afghan players to pay attention to the game at hand and not let their past matches with Pakistan get to their heads.
When asked about Pakistan’s bowling attack, Gul said that their star pacer, Shaheen Afridi, is definitely missing. But in Shaheen’s place, Harris Rauf, Naseem Shah, Mohammad Hasnain, and Shahnawaz Dahani have also done well.
In a previous press conference, the former right-arm bowler said that he had been involved with Pakistan cricket for more than twenty years. But as the bowling coach for Afghanistan, it is his moral and ethical duty to support Afghanistan no matter who they play.
In the Super 4s round of the Asia Cup, Pakistan and Afghanistan will play each other later tonight at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium. Pakistan hopes to beat Afghanistan in order to make it to the final.
