Mohammad Rizwan, a wicket-keeper batsman for Pakistan, scored the most runs in the Asia Cup 2022 final match against Sri Lanka on Sunday at the Dubai International Stadium. This made him the top scorer of the tournament.
With a total score of 281, Rizwan broke the record set by India’s Virat Kohli at the mega Asian event. Kohli had scored a total of 276 runs over the course of five innings before India was kicked out of the tournament after losing to Afghanistan.
After hitting a six off of Sri Lanka’s Chamika Karunaratne’s ball in the 16th over, the top T20I batter became the player with the most runs.
In the Asia Cup, the wicket-keeper batter had three scores of 50 or more in six innings.
