Antakya in Ruins After Third Major Earthquake in Two Weeks

Turkey’s Antakya – Antakya was struck by its third major earthquake in two weeks, causing significant damage and forcing residents to flee. The once-vibrant city is now in ruins, with rubble mounds, broken windows, and entangled rebar lining the streets.

Emergency personnel, police, and soldiers rushed to the scene to assist in clearing debris and searching for survivors. The sound of excavators clawing at rubble echoes through the streets as workers search for signs of life.

The devastation caused by these earthquakes has been enormous, with few residents remaining to witness the devastation. Survivors like Mehmet Ay, who has spent his entire life in Antakya, describe the city as a ghost town.

The Turkish government has promised to help those affected by the disaster, and international aid organizations are also working to help those affected by the earthquakes.

As the cleanup effort continues, it is critical to remember the value of disaster preparedness and response, as well as providing aid and support to those in need during times of crisis.
