Tamasha Launches "Family Bizniss" - Pakistan's First Original Series

In collaboration with Big Bang Entertainment, the top domestic OTT platform in Pakistan, Tamasha, has debuted its first original series, “Family Bizniss.” The programme highlights the link between parents and children while illustrating the difficulties experienced by a middle-class Pakistani household. While the protagonists work to start an online business to support their ageing father and rise above their socioeconomic status, the writers of the show hope to humorously educate viewers about entrepreneurship and digital inclusion.

High-profile individuals, including Kaan Terzioglu, CEO of VEON Group, Aamir Ibrahim, CEO of Jazz, and Aamer Ejaz, Chief Digital Officer of Jazz, attended the inaugural event at Jazz Digital Headquarters. Several of the most well-known actors in the nation appear in the show, including Asim Azhar, who is making his OTT acting debut. Together with Hussain Moshin, Mah-e-nur Haider, Saife Hasan, Salma Hasan, Bushra Habib, and others star.

The distinctive quality of “Family Bizniss” is its lighthearted treatment of weighty subjects like socioeconomic class divisions and generational gaps, which appeals to a wide audience. Tamasha intends to accomplish this by emphasising local content that encourages digital inclusion, according to Aamer Ejaz, Chief Digital Officer of Jazz.

The CEO of Big Bang Entertainment, Fahad Mustafa, highlighted that the show intends to dispel the stereotype that interesting shows can only depict bad parts of society. Instead, “Family Bizniss” seeks to present these issues in a fun and educational manner.

Tamasha thinks that the show’s upbeat tone when addressing societal problems will have a bigger effect on the audience. The Tamasha app, which can be accessed through Google Play, the Apple App store, or the website, now has the programme available.
