Spotify's RADAR Program Celebrates One-Year Milestone in Pakistan

Spotify’s RADAR Program highlights notable local music progress with the RADAR Festival. In an effort to assist up-and-coming musicians, the initiative has given producers access to a worldwide platform, promoting their work and helping artists grow their following by offering customized social media posts and other marketing opportunities. RADAR Pakistan has elevated talented musicians to unprecedented heights in the last year, contributing to increased exposure and audience reach.

During its first year, RADAR Pakistan featured four artists: Hasan Raheem, Taha G, Maanu, and Hassan & Roshaan. Their music was highlighted on Spotify under the ‘RADAR Pakistan 1 Year Anniversary’ destination. Global playlists, marketing campaigns, and social media material for the program now sport a new graphic identity that highlights artist showcases and storytelling.

Listeners from 74 nations have listened to the RADAR Pakistan playlist, with 91% of those listeners coming from Pakistan, indicating strong local support. Notably, the playlist has gained 33% more followers each month, demonstrating its widespread appeal, particularly among young people (18 to 24 years old).

Khan FM, Spotify’s Artists and Label Partnership Manager for Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh, proudly launched the first RADAR Festival. Khan FM highlighted the festival’s significant influence in showcasing Pakistani artists worldwide. Hasan Raheem, Taha G, Maanu, Abdul Hannan, and Hassan & Roshaan are the artists that are most played on the RADAR Pakistan playlist in 2023. Songs like “4U,” “Bandhan,” and “Joona” captivate listeners.

The first-ever RADAR Fest was held at the LUMS Campus in Lahore as part of Spotify’s celebration. The event featured riveting performances by the four RADAR artists and reaffirmed the platform’s dedication to supporting the bright future of Pakistani music.
