Pak Suzuki has raised the price of its Swift GLX CVT variant in Pakistan by Rs304,000. This increase is attributed to the recent government decision to hike the sales tax from 18% to 25%. Following this change, the new price of the Suzuki Swift GLX CVT stands at Rs5.429 million, effective March 8, 2024.
This price hike comes on top of an earlier increase of Rs85,000 implemented on March 1st, 2024. Pak Suzuki cites rising inflation, overhead expenses, and international raw material costs as reasons behind the adjustments.
The new price took effect from March 8, 2024.
The company claims it’s become increasingly difficult to maintain previous prices due to these economic factors.
