Shell Pakistan, recently acquired by Wafi Energy, recently hosted the grand finale of the 11th Tameer Awards 2024. The event celebrated and honored aspiring Pakistani entrepreneurs.
Over 400 applications were received for the 11th edition, with 30 finalists selected across six categories. A distinguished jury panel evaluated the candidates based on their innovation and excellence.
Waqar Siddiqui, CEO & Managing Director of Shell Pakistan, expressed pride in supporting young entrepreneurs and their potential to drive innovation and progress.
The grand winners of the 11th Tameer Awards 2024 are:
- Circular Economy: The Natural Fiber Company by Mohammad Faraz Khokhar
- Clean Energy Solutions: Green City by Zain Ali Siddiqui
- Empowering Women: DiabEazy by Mahnoor Rizwan
- Technology Innovation: Fortify by Sidra Shakeel
- Transportation and Mobility: Naya Raasta by Fahd Ahmed Farid
- Bright Ideas: EcoFoil – Seal the Flavour by Maryam Butt
The runners-up include Royella Foods, Voltshare Technology, Zarai Baramdaat, LibXR, EV Square, and EF-3F.
Since its inception, Tameer has aimed to strengthen the local economy by supporting entrepreneurship. Over a million youth have been engaged through this program. 10 Pakistani entrepreneurs won International Trade Grants to expand their market globally, and nine won the global Shell ‘Top Ten Innovators Awards’.
