Zindigi Freelancer Connect Empowers Pakistan’s Freelancers from Peshawar

Zindigi Freelancer Connect officially launched its nationwide initiative with a powerful kickoff event in Peshawar, hosted by CECOS University and powered by Edversity. Designed to support and uplift Pakistan’s booming freelance community, the platform is offering a complete ecosystem of learning, networking, and seamless digital financial access.

At the center of this movement is the Zindigi Freelancer Account — a US Dollar-based solution enabling global payments, low international fees via Zindigi debit card, and in-app invoicing. It’s a tailor-made financial product built to address the real-world needs of freelancers and digital workers in Pakistan.

With over 4 million freelancers and Pakistan ranking among the top five freelance markets worldwide, Zindigi’s move is both timely and impactful. The launch event in Peshawar drew top freelance talent, trainers, digital professionals, and aspiring youth from across the province. The day featured high-energy keynotes, panel discussions, training workshops, and valuable networking opportunities — all geared toward strengthening the freelance ecosystem.

Ibtisam Babar, Regional Manager Special Initiatives at Zindigi, shared how Zindigi Freelancer Connect builds on the success of the Zindigi Prize, calling it a “landmark initiative creating meaningful social impact.” He emphasized that the program delivers 360-degree support — from skill development and mentorship to digital banking access — equipping freelancers to thrive in the global economy.

The Peshawar edition marks just the beginning, with upcoming events planned in major cities across the country. Through innovation, community building, and financial inclusion, Zindigi is actively shaping the future of freelancing in Pakistan.
