Jazz, Pakistan’s leading digital operator, has stepped forward to support communities devastated by recent floods in Punjab by offering free calls to all networks and PTCL. This initiative aims to keep families connected, ensure quick coordination with emergency services, and provide a communication lifeline when it is needed the most.
The heavy monsoon rains and river flooding have severely impacted Narowal, Kartarpur, Sialkot, Wazirabad, and Gujrat, damaging homes, infrastructure, and livelihoods. By removing call charges, Jazz is enabling residents to prioritize safety and recovery instead of worrying about communication costs.
Earlier this month, Jazz extended the same relief to flood-hit areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), underlining its commitment to act swiftly during natural disasters. Sharing his thoughts, Aamir Ibrahim, CEO of Jazz, said that connectivity becomes a lifeline during such crises, ensuring people can access help, coordinate with rescue teams, and stay connected with loved ones.
This year, Jazz also partnered with the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) to roll out a mobile-enabled Early Warning System (EWS). The system has already delivered over 200 million advisories nationwide, including evacuation alerts for communities along the Chenab River. The ongoing floods underscore the importance of such technology-driven preparedness efforts, complemented by emergency connectivity support.
Jazz continues to stand with Pakistan during natural calamities by leveraging its nationwide infrastructure and partnerships, not only for immediate relief but also to build long-term resilience.
