CBD Punjab’s IT City Achieves Key Development Milestones

Pakistan’s largest IT City, CBD NSIT City, is rapidly moving towards key infrastructure milestones as the Punjab Central Business District Development Authority (PCBDDA), also known as CBD Punjab, pushes ahead with its flagship project in Lahore. The authority confirmed that 70 percent of the drainage system has been completed, with development across Packages I, II, and III progressing steadily. The water-bound layer is being laid across major stretches, and asphalt carpeting on Circular Road I and Circular Road II is set to begin in September following the monsoon season.

CBD Punjab’s Executive Director Technical, Riaz Hussain, highlighted that the project is on track with its planned timeline. Once core infrastructure including roads and drainage is finalized, plots will be handed over to universities, IT institutions, and recreational facilities to kick-start vertical construction. This marks a pivotal stage in establishing Pakistan’s premier hub for information technology, innovation, and higher education.

Meanwhile, the Celestia IT & Office Tower within CBD Punjab’s Silicon Block is also seeing rapid progress, with 55 percent of its structural and finishing works already complete. Envisioned as a modern high-rise offering luxury, offices, and mixed-use spaces, the tower is being developed to international quality benchmarks.

Commenting on the progress, CEO CBD Punjab, Imran Amin, said the IT City and Celestia Tower are transformative projects that will reshape Punjab’s economic and urban landscape. He emphasized that the developments will strengthen Punjab’s position as a hub for IT, business, and modern living while driving innovation, sustainability, and growth.

With consistent progress and timely execution, CBD Punjab continues to set benchmarks in urban development, creating new opportunities for the tech sector and paving the way for a digitally empowered future in Pakistan.
