Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS) successfully hosted the Study in Malaysia Education Fair 2026 in Islamabad on September 15 and 16, attracting hundreds of Pakistani students, parents, education professionals and representatives from academic institutions.
The education fair provided Pakistani students with an opportunity to interact directly with representatives of leading Malaysian universities and explore undergraduate, postgraduate and professional programmes, along with scholarships, admissions requirements, student visas and career opportunities in Malaysia.
EMGS Education Fair Connects Students with Malaysian Universities
Participating institutions presented information on internationally recognised degree programmes, scholarships, admissions requirements, student visas, campus facilities, accommodation and student life in Malaysia.
University representatives also provided one-on-one counselling to students and parents, helping them understand the process of pursuing higher education in Malaysia.
Malaysia-Pakistan Education Ties Highlighted at Islamabad Fair
The fair was inaugurated by High Commissioner of Malaysia to Pakistan H.E. Dato Muhammad Azhar Mazlan, who highlighted the longstanding and friendly relations between Malaysia and Pakistan and emphasised the role of education in strengthening bilateral ties.
The High Commissioner expressed confidence that initiatives such as the Study in Malaysia Education Fair would contribute to greater cooperation between the two countries in education, research, innovation and people-to-people exchanges.
Students Explore Admissions, Scholarships and Career Opportunities
Throughout the event, students showed strong interest in Malaysian higher education opportunities, engaging in detailed discussions with university representatives about admissions, scholarships and future career pathways.
A number of students also moved forward with their admission processes during the fair.
Representatives of EMGS said that Pakistan remains an important and growing market for Malaysian higher education, with increasing numbers of Pakistani students exploring Malaysia as a destination for international education.
They highlighted Malaysia’s multicultural environment, internationally oriented academic programmes and opportunities for students to develop skills relevant to the global job market.
Three-City Study in Malaysia Education Fair Programme
The Study in Malaysia Education Fair 2026 is part of EMGS’s wider international outreach programme aimed at promoting Malaysia as a destination for international students and strengthening engagement with key education markets.
The Islamabad edition followed the fair’s outreach in Karachi and forms part of a three-city programme designed to connect Malaysian universities with students and families across Pakistan.
Lahore to Host Final Stop of Pakistan Education Fair
Following Islamabad, the national education outreach programme will continue in Lahore on September 19 and 20, bringing the Study in Malaysia Education Fair 2026 to the final city of its Pakistan programme.
The Islamabad event concluded on a positive note, with students, parents and education professionals welcoming the opportunity to receive direct information from Malaysian universities and explore pathways for higher education abroad.
