HTC has confirmed that it will be launching at least one significant new smartphone at next month’s CES show – and it is expected to be the long-anticipated LTE phone for use by Verizon Wireless.
A simple sign-up page on HTV’s 4G page shows three existing handsets alongside a mystery phone. The presence of the Sprint WiMAX phone in the photo and the note that the new device will be “the first to 4G” strongly suggests that it will be the LTE variant.
The rumoured handset has been variously suggested to be either the HTC Thunderbolt or Incredible HD.
