Internet Goes Down in Most Parts of Pakistan

[Update] PTCL has confirmed that its users are facing trouble browsing, saying its fiber network is experiencing technical issues due to widespread rains.

PTCL druggies are facing internet outages throughout the country, Pakistan Telecommunication Authority( PTA) has verified. In a Twitter post, the nonsupervisory body said that PTCL has reported issues in “ data networks between South and North which is causing internet connectivity issues.”

Druggies of nearly all Internet Service Providers( ISPs) are venting their issues on Twitter. Meanwhile, PTA has said that it’s covering the situation and further updates will participate consequently.

PTCL is formerly trending on Twitter while druggies of other ISPs including Nayatel, Zong, Jazz, and Telenor in a number of regions are complaining that they’re also facing trouble in internet browsing. Preliminarily, ProPakistani reported that the Telenor network is passing issues due to countrywide rains and cataracts.

Due to heavy rains and flash cataracts in the corridors of Sindh and Central Punjab, optic fiber networks have been damaged. As a result, numerous of our guests may be passing service dislocations, which we deeply lament. Our field brigades are working hard to restore services as precedence.
