Taxi drivers, gathered at Press Club Islamabad. Hundreds of Careem Captains signed out their ID to record protest against the unfair polices for drivers and vendors. They raised their voice against the depraved customer service facilitator’s at Careem’s offices.

The protesters made a lengthy list of demands from App authorities, of both a financial and social nature, as they asked for higher fares and better working conditions and rights. They could not work with the low fare rates and High Conditions on bonus guarantee, they claimed.

The shoe seems to be on the other foot for the Hailing app , as now their drivers are making demands claiming that their compensation and treatment is “inhumane.”

The list of demands they had published included calls for great increases in base charges and the right of drivers to drive in whichever category they wanted. Another bone of contention seemed to be what one Careem driver called “the brutal and cut throat conditions for the captain’s weekly bonus.

Drivers claim Careem has been deterring captains’ IDs, without justifying causes. Captains prophesied more protest against the management if they don’t consider their recommendations
