Pakistan will Experience Torrential Rains: Met Office Forecasts

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted that Pakistan will experience torrential rains, starting today. The central and upper parts of the country will witness the change of weather because of the new weather system.

According to PMD, the system will continue until Wednesday. On the other hand, the National Disaster Management (NDMA) has issued a similar alert. They have directed the authorities to take measures to tackle the situation as it occurs.

Cities like Khuzdar, Sukkur, Larkana, Kashmore, Shikarpur, Jacobabad, Shaheed Benazirabad, Dadu, Jamshoro, Hyderabad, Karachi, Dera Bugti, Jaffarabad, Naseerabad, and Lasbela may experience heavy rainfall, because of the strong weather system. Heavy rains may start on Tuesday and end until Wednesday evening.

On the other hand, the monsoon has adversely affected India and Bangladesh. The experts have said that climate change has resulted in the increase in unpredictability, frequency, and ferocity of the population of the two countries averaging up to 1.6 billion people. Due to extreme weather conditions, approximately 100,000 villagers are seeking relief shelters for refuge.

According to the advisory cities like Waziristan, Islamabad, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Chitral, Dir, Swat, Buner, Shangla, Kohistan, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Haripur, Swabi, Peshawar, Nowshera, Mardan, Charsadda, Bajaur, Mohmand, Khyber, Kurram, Kohat, Lakki Marwat, Bannu, and Dera Ismail Khan may get isolated hailstorms besides widespread thundershowers.
