Man charged in shooting of McDonald’s worker during cold fries fight

A customer and a McDonald’s employee are said to have gotten into an altercation over some cold french fries, which led to the employee being shot in the neck and suffering catastrophic injuries.

The Independent claims that the victim, 23-year-old Matthew Webb, was working at a fast food restaurant in New York on Monday night when a customer complained that her fries were lukewarm. Throughout the argument, the customer was talking in a video conversation with her son. The 20-year-old son then arrived at the McDonald’s location and got into a fight with the worker.

According to the police, “the mom complained that the fries were cold.” “The mom’s son overheard the argument between her and the clerk while they were FaceTimeing. A fight broke out between the clerk and son inside and eventually happened outside “the representative added.

When the argument reached its peak, the son used a 9mm handgun to shoot Mr. Webb in the neck. The worker was taken to the Brookdale hospital right away and is still there in critical condition, according to the Independent.

On the other side, Michael Morgan has been identified as the alleged shooter. After leaving the area, he was apprehended. According to the police, Mr. Morgan has a history of 12 prior arrests.

According to reports, Mrs. Morgan informed the police she heard the shot but didn’t see the incident. According to a witness who spoke to New York Daily, “She must have been in shock since she was telling out all the information about what transpired.” Added another “I want to start crying. You killed someone over fries?”

One witness even provided a description of what happened after the gunshot. In an effort to stop the bleeding, a man placed his shirt over the victim’s neck after taking it off. “He was speechless. He was only trembling. His heart was beating fast. When they placed him on the stretcher, he was still breathing “Added a witness.

In the meantime, a Subway employee in the US was shot and killed in June following a dispute with a customer over “too much mayonnaise on his sandwich.”
