Two women and one man are tourists. According to the police, the incident happened at the Pakistan Monument in Shakarparian. According to authorities, “nobody complained to the administration present at the scene of the occurrence.”

Three videos of the event, in which more than a dozen guys could be seen intimidating the visitors by surrounding them, were published by Islamabad Updates, a Twitter account that tweets about various concerns in the city. The three foreigners, particularly the women, were clearly agitated and uneasy owing to the excessive attention.

“On Pakistan’s Independence Day, boys misbehaved with international tourists in Shakarparian, Islamabad. The offenders must be found and punished by the authorities “says the video’s caption.

Netizens responded strongly to the recordings, with the majority urging the relevant authorities to launch an inquiry and pursue legal action against the offenders.
