Gold Price

After losing ground in the previous five sessions, the price of gold increased by more than 4%, despite the Pakistani rupee’s advance against the US dollar.

• Gold price settles at Rs139,900 per tola.
• 10-gram gold price is Rs119,942.
• Silver prices remain unchanged.

Gold prices increased by Rs5,700 per tola and Rs4,887 per gramme to Rs139,900 and Rs119,942, respectively, according to statistics supplied by All Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association (ASSJA).

During the period of August 10 to 15, the precious metal lost Rs9,300 per tola. On a worldwide scale, Pakistan has a minor gold market. It imports the product to fulfil demand since it does not generate it domestically.

As a result, the gold price in local markets is established by taking into account global market prices, the rupee-dollar exchange rate, and demand and supply.
