Adnan Siddiqui requests that Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah assist veteran cricketer Zaheer Abbas

On Wednesday, the Mere Paas Tum Ho actor shared a side-by-side comparison of an old and new photo of Abbas on the pitch. “This is a heartfelt request to Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, whom I overheard advising someone at the Islamabad Film Festival to assist an actor in financial need.”

Siddiqui placed light on what the athlete has accomplished over his remarkable career. “It is heartbreaking to see that a player who brought global prominence to the country, has been dubbed the “Bradman of Asia,” has received the coveted Pride of Pakistan award, and is a cross-generational inspiration has received no support from his native country.

The Dum Mastam actor considers it a moral obligation to support him. “As a red passport holder, I’m convinced the NHS is giving the required assistance.” That, however, does not absolve us of the obligation to assist. “It’s a moral commitment to our hero,” he said.
