India Warns Wikipedia about False Information about Arshdeep Singh

The Indian Government issued a warning to Wikipedia for publishing incorrect information about Arshdeep Singh, an Indian pacer. According to Indian media reports, Arshdeep Singh, who dropped the catch during the Asia Cup match against Pakistan, has received harsh criticism on social media, while a post on his Wikipedia page has circulated claiming that he is a supporter and agent of the “Khalistan Movement”.

According to the reports, a user-edited the cricketer’s page and changed the word “India” in his profile to “Khalistan,” which went viral. According to sources, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology called the website’s representatives on Monday to inquire about fake information on the cricketer’s page.

Earlier Indian media claims that Arshdeep Singh’s family is in danger due to incorrect information.
