Asif Ali and Afghanistan’s fast bowler Farid Ahmad got into a heated argument on the field after Asif Ali was out on Farid Ahmad’s delivery in the second-to-last over of the match between Pakistan and Afghanistan in the Super Four stage of the Asia Cup 2022.
The two cricketers got into a heated argument after Ahmad made fun of Ali after he had been out of the game. Asif Ali had already hit two sixes, one of which was on a ball from Ahmad. Netizens aren’t sure what happened between the two players, but they have a lot of ideas.
In a video that has gone viral, Ahmed is first seen getting angry at Ali, and then he raises his bat in the air as if to hit the Afghan pacer with it.

Soon after, players from both Afghanistan and Pakistan, like Azmatullah Umarzai and Hasan Ali, stepped in to stop the fight. In the heat of the moment, as Asif walked toward the pavilion, the Afghan player, Fazalhaq Farooqi, also made a joke at his expense. Even though Pakistan beat Afghanistan, many people are still talking about how “unfortunate” what happened on the field was.
