WhatsApp may add a cool desktop feature

There are rumors that WhatsApp, the most popular instant messaging app in the world, is working on a feature to add an edit button to messages sent to the desktop and will soon release it.

Before WhatsApp, there was an edit button on the social networking site Facebook and the photo-sharing app Instagram, both owned by the same company. Even though it was said a few months ago that WhatsApp was working on an edit button that would add soon, it still hasn’t happened.

But the most recent news about this is that the company is working on making the edit button available for desktop users and Android and iOS users.

WhatsApp is likely to add something cool for desktop users

We at Info, a website that keeps track of changes to WhatsApp, say that the app’s developers are working hard on adding an edit button for desktop users. The report noted that, at first, only a small number of people would be able to use the edit button.

According to the report, it is unclear whether users can see the editing history after clicking the edit button or how long they will be able to edit the message. The report made it clear that it’s too early to say when the edit button will be available, but it confirmed that WhatsApp experts are already hard at work. The report also suggested that the edit button might be made available to a small number of desktop and smartphone users simultaneously.
