Midnight Surprise Government increased Petrol Price by Rs1.45 per litre

The government has raised the price of gasoline by Rs 1.45 per litre, giving people who are already struggling with inflation another shock. However, the price of high-speed diesel has stayed the same.

The price of a litre of light diesel has gone down by Rs4.26 and the price of a litre of kerosene oil has gone down by Rs8.30. At 12:00 midnight, the new prices went into effect (the night between Sept 20 and Sept 21).

Government increased the petrol price by Rs 1.45 per litre.

According to a notice from the Ministry of Finance, the new price of petrol will be Rs237.43 per litre after the price hike, and the price of high-speed diesel will stay the same at Rs247.43 per litre.

The price of a litre of light diesel has gone down by Rs 4.26 per litre. The new price is Rs197.28 per litre. The price of a litre of kerosene was cut by Rs 8.30, so it will now cost Rs 202.02 per litre.
