Pakistan hockey coach Siegfried Aikman can't acquire a visa again

Due to problems with his visa, the Dutch coach of the Pakistan national hockey team, Siegfried Aikman, has been unable to get to Pakistan on time. Sources say that Aikman won’t be able to join the Pakistan team in Karachi for the first few days before the Sultan Azlan Shah Hockey tournament.

Before this year’s Commonwealth Games, the Dutch coach had a problem like this. He was only given a 90-day work visa instead of a work permit to go to Birmingham with the Pakistan team.

After the Commonwealth Games, Aikman went home to see his family. He now needs a new visa to come to Pakistan.

It’s important to remember that in December of last year, Aikman was hired as Pakistan’s coach until 2026. He used to coach the Japanese team, which won the Asian Games in 2018 and shocked the world.

Since he joined the Pakistan team, Aikman hasn’t been paid, and the matter is still up in the air. On September 25, the Pakistan team will start training at the Abdul Sattar Edhi Stadium in Karachi.

After the training camp, the last team for the Sultan Azlan Shah Cup, which will be held in Malaysia from November 1–10, 2022, will be chosen.
